In the deep thick Bwindi Impenetrable National park you’ll find a wide variety of both flora and fauna, and the mountain gorillas will surely grace your sights. Itinerary

Day 1

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Meet early morning at accommodation, after breakfast, we drive off to south western Uganda. After approximately 2 hours drive, have a stop-over at the Uganda Equator for about 45 minutes; drive through rolling hills, savanna, rural Africa to get to accommodation to stay overnight.

Day 2

Tracking Mountain Gorillas

After an early morning breakfast, head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Information Center for briefing. The D-day begins with setting off to the tropical rain forest, fairly tough walk, but guarantee that it will be one of your life time experiences. Be assured of seeing the gorillas play, feed and their general life style. On and on you will encounter different bird species, mammals, lots of plants and primates. You will stay overnight again or travel to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second-deepest lake. The lake picks its name from the many birds that its habitat for. Formed over 10,00 years ago when a river was dammed by river, the lake hosts 29 islands. With numerous islands and incredible stories, the lake is declared bilharzia free, no hippos or crocodiles giving you a chance to swim freely. You will have a boat ride to the different islands, watch out for more bird species, canoeing, a thrilling hike to have a spectacular view of the lake and its islands and the delicious Cray fish dishes. You will observe the life style of the Bakiga, the indigenous people including kids crossing the lake in dug-out canoes to go to school, local agricultural products being canoed to the market place at the lake shores for sale, you are free to visit the market and get the experience of a local African market .

Day 3

Return to Kampala

Have breakfast, check-out and start our return journey to Kampala. We will have a chance to do a mini game drive around the park boundaries of Lake Mburo National Park searching for the resident zebras and antelopes, some of which can only be found in this national park in Uganda. On a lengthy planned visit to the national park, one can do an extensive game drive, a boat cruise, walking safari or a horseback ride to view wildlife species such as impala, zebra, buffaloes, the last surviving Ugandan population of eland which are the largest of African antelope, topi , and other grazers which are rare or absent from other Ugandan parks. The series of swamp –fringed lakes are known for their rich bird life on which the park is centered.
